Reflections on the advertisement '' The Funeral''

The advertisement shows the love of a mixed race couple. They probably used a mixed race couple in the advertisement because they want to promote racial harmony. Even though they are from different races, they are still loving towards each other.

Bad traits are used in the advertisement because it is a unique way. The good things you will remember the imperfections cause they are special and the can give you a good memory of them. I think it is one of the unique things in the advertisement.

I think it is a good way of using that advertisement to promote family love and also racial harmony. I was touched by the advertisement especially when they hug. I think that it is a good way and effective way to promote family love and racial harmony.

Favourite Character

There is one character in the channel 8 drama 'on the fringe' that i quite like and he is Leo. Firstly i'll start with the show. The show is about the life of a gangster named 'tian yi bang' after he came out of prison to turn over a new leaf. Even though he's a gangster,he is still a caring father and have a heart of gold.


Leo is a university lecturer and is also a gang boss. He is cunning and as sly as a fox in way that he will not really do the bad things by himself and instead he will be the mastermind and ask people to do the bad things for him. He is also a hypocrite and deceives a kind girl called 'sha sha' and plans to sabotage her because he thinks that she's the one who caused Leo's friend to leave the gang.

I think Leo is a mysterious person. Even though he's the bad guy in the story, i find him cool. He is my favourite character in the drama because his personality is kind of the same as mine. I really don't have much to say about Leo but he's my favourite character in the show.

Romeo and Juliet performance progress

My group for the romeo and juliet performance is group 4. My group has been practising for the performance since the june holidays. We practised our lines, learnt our dance, went to buy the things needed, do our props and meet up for rehearsals. We even used a camcorder to record our group's performance on one of our practice to see if there are any mistakes.

I think that people in my group are trying their best to accomodate to the rehearsal schedules. I think that my group's progress is ok. I think that we just need to brush up on our dance and lines to improve for the performance.

I think that for a group to produce a good performance, there must be teamwork and everyone must understand each other. We must work together as a group for the performance to be good so that can score very good for the performance.

Unseen Poems

I think that unseen poems are written in a much special and unique way as compared to normal poems. Also unseen poems are very interesting. It is also written in a creative way which lets me ponder about what the unseen poem really means.

Macbeth, Act One Scene Two

Last literature lesson, i learnt and read about macbeth act one scene two. it is about king duncan, malcolm, donalbain and lennox meeting a wounded captain and the captain telling them about the war of scotland and ireland. the battle was bloody and you couldn't tall which side was winning tha captain told them. but then macbeth and banquo fought hard and won the batte. but the norwegian king saw his chance to attack and again macbeth and banquo won. they had a treaty and the norwegian king had to give scotland ten thousand dollars so that the norwegian can bury his soldiers. that is the rough story in act one scene two. i would like to find out what happened at the later part of the play macbeth.

                       A woman at mcdonald's came up to me and said that i would see a girl in white shirt with a red hairband tomorrow at mcdonald's.i felt disgusted after that . The next day while i was at mcdonald's with my friends and then i saw someone similar to the one the woman had described. i feel kind of surprised but it does not seem to be important to me. so what if what the woman said is true? it may just be a coincidence. (miss maly i know that my post is short but i really don't know how to write.)

Post on Cinquain lesson

The lesson is focused on cinquains and we learnt how to write a cinquain. I learnt more about cinquains after the lesson. A cinquain is a type of poetry similar to a haiku. A cinquain has only 5 lines. The word 'cinq' is the french word for five. The noun or topic will be in the first line. For the second line there will be two adjectives. Third line, three gerunds. A short sentence in the fourth line and finally, a synonym to the noun or topic in the fifth line. I want to find out who invented this type of wonderful poetry.
